GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB)– A UF Health constructing on 13th Street in Gainesville opened its newly renovated facility at the moment.
The UF Health Florida Recovery Center supplies dependancy therapy applications they usually held a ribbon-cutting ceremony within the new 9,000 square-foot constructing.
After greater than $three million in enhancements, the constructing has assembly rooms, an auditorium, and places of work that can home the Department of Psychiatry and UF Health Addiction Medicine.
“This is really an expansion of the commitment to give people the best opportunity at recovery,” UF Health Florida Recovery Center medical physician Scott Teitelbaum stated. “That’s an illness (addiction) with a tremendous amount of stigma and it’s not a pretty illness.”

“There is nothing like to see a healed individual or healed family suffering from an addictive disorder,” Teitelbaum stated. “In my life at the moment, subsequent to my household and my youngsters—that is the proudest day of my life.”
