TK Maxx unveils its Christmas advert and it features a ‘never-ending’ stocking

TK Maxx is the latest high street retailer to unveil its Christmas 2018 advert.

The festive offering, which was released today, features a ‘never-ending’ stocking which belches out gifts to a lucky family for an entire year.

The ad begins with a woman doing a spot of Christmas shopping at TK Maxx.

While browsing through the handbag section, she finds a red and white stocking hidden at the back of a shelf.

When she pulls it out, a red alarm starts ringing and two employees dressed as elves joyously jump up and down.

The lucky lady has just found a magical stocking, which comes to life almost immediately.

She excitedly takes the enormous stocking home, dragging it through a snowy street lined with houses, lit up with Christmas decorations.

The knitted creation is supposed to represent TK Maxx’s new festive campaign, in which shoppers who find a similarly gigantic stocking – hidden in stores and online – will receive gifts every month until Christmas 2019.

Deborah Dolce, group brand and marketing director at TK Maxx said: “We love to offer our customers more than they bargained for, and the never-ending stocking seems the perfect festive way to bring that to life.

“We can’t wait for lucky shoppers to find these hidden around our stores (and online) so that we can give them surprising gifts all year round.

“This is a suitably bonkers TK Maxx way to add a bit of fun to both Christmas TV viewing and also Christmas present shopping.”

Shoppers can begin searching for the stockings from Wednesday, November 8.

When a customer finds one they will receive free gifts each and every month for the next year.

The advert ends with the stocking bidding a fond farewell to the woman and her family, before returning to a TK Maxx store.
