The Students’ Club met on March 19 on the house of Winona Locke. President Carese Parker carried out the assembly. There had been 18 members current, together with visitor — former Maury County librarian, Elizabeth Potts.
After committee reviews, new and previous enterprise, Locke launched visitor speaker, Amy Parker. Parker is a vibrant younger author residing in Murfreesboro.
Parker has written greater than 50 books for youngsters, teenagers, and adults, with over 1.5 million copies offered. She has collaborated with authors starting from New York Times bestsellers to her very personal son. Two of those collaborations—“Firebird” and “Courageous Teens” — are recipients of Christian Retailing’s Best Awards.
Parker’s latest book is “Night Night Bible Stories,” which is a group of 30 Bible tales for youngsters. The book was launched in late March and she or he introduced copies to the assembly and gave every member an autographed copy.
Parker talked her background and the way she got here up along with her first story in the course of the evening.
