The first California Dancing Raisins industrial debuted on tv within the fall of 1986. Even as Sun-Maid benefited disproportionately from the adverts as the largest model on the town, Barry Kriebel, then the corporate’s president, labored to restrict his opponents from profiting in the identical method. He was useless set on limiting the way in which that the dancing raisin was displayed on the packaging of different manufacturers — and Sun-Maid, which now represents about 40 % of the trade, was large enough to place the strain on.
