I’m writing to thank San Angelo residents for sharing the true that means of Christmas with kids in want this previous vacation season.

Because of the generosity of donors in San Angelo and throughout the United States, Operation Christmas Child, a mission of Samaritan’s Purse, collected greater than eight.eight million shoeboxes in 2018.

Combined with these collected from partnering nations in 2018, the ministry is now sending greater than 10.6 million shoebox items to kids affected by poverty, pure disasters, warfare, illness and famine.

These easy items carry smiles to the faces of youngsters world wide. Packed with enjoyable toys, college provides and hygiene gadgets, these items carry pleasure and are a tangible expression of God’s love. Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has collected and delivered greater than 157 million gift-filled shoeboxes to kids in additional than 160 nations and territories.

It’s not too late for individuals to make a distinction.
